Changes to come, vows Raynor

ROTHERHAM United are promising a shake-up in the wake of Saturday's slump at the New York Stadium.

The 3-0 loss to Southend United led assistant manager Paul Raynor to slam the players' lack of passion and desire and he promised there would be "casualties" ahead of the weekend trip to Aldershot.

He said: "As a management team we are passionate and work hard and when our players don't go out and give their all then that is bitterly disappointing. I won't stand for that and Steve Evans won't either.

"There will be casualties. No-one has the right to say after that performance that their shirt is safe, because it isn't. There needs to be changes and one thing you can be sure of is that whoever plays at Aldershot will be giving absolutely everything for that shirt."

The result left the Millers in the bottom half of League Two, way short of expectations.

"We know it's not good enough and we're not standing here making excuses," added Raynor.

"You can't paper over the cracks. We've got to be brutally honest, work hard and make it work."

Team boss Evans is set to return to the touchline at the Recreation Ground having completed his six-match stadium ban.
