Catch 22 for resurgent Millers

ASSISTANT boss Kevin Blackwell says the Millers have found themselves in a Catch 22 situation as they face a weekend off.

With the club having driven out of the bottom three with last week's win at Ipswich, they would have wanted to keep the momentum up.

But Blackwell says the players need a rest after an exhausting spell as Rotherham also look to get over several injury niggles.

He said: ““There is a mindset that when you’re winning you want to keep playing, and that’s true but it’s a Catch 22 for us at the moment.

“Some of the players are carrying niggles and we’ve got so much out of them over the last three or four weeks, this international break may be a blessing in disguise.

“Normally you would like to keep playing when you are winning, so it’s an unusual situation to find yourself in."
