Bester signs...and so does Semisi

ANDRE Bester will remain at Clifton Lane next season after agreeing to a new contract - and his first move has been to snap up a player he says is his best-ever signing.

Bester this week put pen to paper for another 12 months as he continues putting the building blocks in place for next season’s push towards the top end of the Championship.

And further good news for the Titans is that Tongan talisman Semisi Taulava will be the first new face.

Taulava is currently Birmingham Bees’ stand-out player and Bester believes he is one of the top second row players in the division, measuring 6ft 4in and weighing a beefy 19 stones.

Further good news is that one of this year’s top men at the Lane, Sam Dickinson, will also be staying at the club.

Said Bester: “I had no hesitation about agreeing my own deal for the new season. It’s a job I’ve started and one I’m going to finish.

“Bringing in someone like Semisi is a massive deal for the club."
