Ben's Aussie double
SUPERB Ben Swift finished third in the big Tour Down Under after two of the biggest wins of his career.
The Rotherham racer had two two stage wins in the Australian showpiece, wrapping up his podium place with victory in the finale in Adelaide on Sunday. The 23-year-old had earlier won the second stage in Mannum.
It’s the perfect spur for Swift ahead of next month’s World Cup in Manchester and the forthcoming World Championships in Holland in March.
The Team Sky rider said: “”It’s the biggest week of my career, without a doubt. It all felt a bit unreal to be honest.”
