Arnie: We can win title

That’s the message from Clifton Lane after two stunning back-to-back wins put Rotherham Town on top of the Yorkshire League.

They now face four massive games in three weeks—with three on home turf—which will go a long way towards determining their title fate, starting with tomorrow’s toughie at Scarborough.

After that, Town face a huge weekend when they host both hot favourites York—the team they ousted from pole position—and Yorkshire Academy, while Rotherham then meet Barnsley at the Lane on July 10.

But Town manager Arnie Sidebottom believes that with the confidence oozing through his side, they can emerge from those games in a strong position—and can go on to lift the title.

“We have to be please with the way things are going and it’s a nice feeling to be sitting on top of the table,” he said.
