Amy's Olympic target

ARCHER Amy Oliver can next week take a massive step towards qualifying for the Rio Olympics.

The Swinton hot-shot represents Great Britain at the European Championships in Nottingham, which start on Monday and conclude the following Sunday. The 28-year-old well be part of the six-strong recurve team.

Amy will be hoping to achieve her Rio qualification target as well as making the team and individual head-to-head finals that take place in Old Market Square, in a purpose-built arena in the heart of Nottingham city centre.

Individually, three GB places are up for grabs for the Olympics ahead of the July deadline with Amy on target to repeat her appearance at London 2012.
