Amy gets World Championship call

ARCHER Amy Oliver has been selected to represent Great Britain in the sport’s biggest event since last year’s Olympics.

Amy, from Swinton, will compete in the Senior Archery World Championships in Antalya, Turkey between September 28 and October 6.

Following two selection shoots in April and June this year, whe is one of three female and three male archers from both the recurve and compound disciplines to have been selected. They will compete on both an individual and team basis.

Amy won a bronze medal in the World Championships mixed event in 2011 and she was part of the Silver Medal Commonwealth Team in 2010.
