Alfie open to move away

STRIKER Adam Le Fondre has left the door open to a move away from Rotherham United this summer, saying: "I've done my time in League Two."

Keen to play at a higher level, the 25-year-old has already signalled his intention to leave by saying he won't sign another contract with the club.

He has a year to go on his current deal and as things stand he will honour it, but speaking to the Advertiser, Le Fondre made it clear he would like to move on this summer if the right club came in.

He said: "I'm here next season as far as I know. I'm more than happy to be here but I want to play higher and everyone knows that. It doesn't thrill me playing in this division.

"I think I deserve to play higher and I think I've done my time in League Two. I've scored goals in this division consistently and if I'm here next season then I'll probably score 25 goals again.

"We'll just see what happens."

Le Fondre is expected to be in the starting line-up for today's finale against Torquay United at Don Valley Stadium.
