Adam soars to national crown

New to the age group, Adam had to play the waiting game as he did not enter the competition untl the bar reached four metres.

He then went on to clear 4.10m to clinch the title. He finished on 4.20m but not before having 3 good attempts at a new personal best of 4.50m.

Adam was thrilled with the win and it is excellent preparation for the outdoor season which includes the UK School Games at the Olympic Stadium in May.

And Rotherham’s Kristie Edwards cemented her reputation as one of the most promising young sprinters in the country with a series of good runs in the championships.

Competing against the best in the country, the 14-year-old Wickersley School pupil went close a medal in the U17s 60m final and sped to a silver in the 200m.
