Moore ponders cup reshuffle

Johnny Mullins...set for cup outing.

MILLERS manager Ronnie Moore is considering handing senior debuts to Jeremiah Ani and Johnny Mullins for tonight's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Lincoln City.

Nigerian striker Ani signed a one-month deal last week with the aim of proving he's worth a longer contract.

Right-back Mullins has yet to start a game since signing from Stockport County this summer and Moore wants to give him game time because he will have to play at Shrewsbury this Saturday. Regular right-back Dean Holden, who is on loan from Shrewsbury, cannot play in that game.

Moore said: "It would be stupid not to give Johnny Mullins a game because he is going to have to play at Shrewsbury.

"Even if it is only for an hour (tonight), he needs to get some game time."

Moore added: "I will probably play Ani—I've got to have a look at him."

Moore revealed that deputy goalkeeper Jamie Annerson might also start because regular Andy Warrington has a sore knee from Saturday's win at Hereford.

Central midfielder Mark Bradley will also miss tonight and Saturday. He is away on international duty with Wales U21s.

Kick-off at Don Valley Stadium is 7.45pm.
