ANDRE Bester believes Rotherham Titans will take some catching this year when it come to pace.
“I believe we have the quickest back row in this division by a long way,” he said.
Dan Baines, Shan Dougall and Adam Kettle will be outstanding. Baines is like Hendre Fourie but more skillful, Dougall is a big, strong player and a Kettle is a first class signing for us.
“In the backs we’ve got some tremendous pace and we will be quick.”
All told, Bester will have over 30 players to pick from, although some are triallists, and he knows they’ve got to hit the ground running when they face Bristol on August 28.
The Championship will again see an eight-team play-off system this season and the coach’s immediate target is to be in the mix come next March.
