Workers are lions led by donkeys

SO we’ve got OFSTED blitzing underperforming schools and Monitor doing likewise with our NHS. Nice work if you can get it. They’ve only got to scratch the surface for the reasons for the above struggle, lack of investment, money being syphoned off, cutback

Overworked, under resourced and lacking in confidence with those in charge the workers have not much to look forward to. Lions led by donkeys, as the saying goes, could't be more pertinent.

What’s the point of it all we all ask? This government do not need our health or education system, so why not make money out of it. Their kith and kin are privately educated and have private health insurance coming out of their ears. That’s why we have private providers eagerly licking their lips in the wings. It’ll not be long before we see ‘On the Waterfront’ scenes outside our schools and hospitals, where we tug our forelock and wait for the man in charge to make his choice. Oh yes my friends it’s not far off unless we wake up and smell the future.

After all we’ve got MPs (Chris Chope) calling us servants in the House of Commons. Not a slip of the tongue, you have been warned. Our forefathers must be turning in their graves. All they fought for going down the plug hole and fast. The attack on our welfare state, started by Thatcher when she unleashed big business, has been gleefully carried on by Cameron and his cronies. Government using the crisis to drive down workers’ wages and conditions. But this understanding is upside down.

The crisis of capitalism uses the parliamentary government and the capitalist state to boost profitability for themselves whilst we tug our forelock.
