WHEN  is Reg Littleboy going to wake up and smell the coffee? In a democracy I thought people of Rawmarsh  were free to vote for whosoever they choose Rotherham Labour party do not have an absolute right to dictate who to elect, maybe he should realise that they are saying enough is enough and it is time for change. Shaun Wright gave up his seat to become the area PCC yet how arrogant of Labour to then select his wife to be the Labour councillor to continue the Wright dynasty. This is nepotism at its worst.

He also appears to be writing Labour’s policy when he says they will abolish the bedroom tax. Labour’s executive have said they cannot give this commitment, but maybe he knows Ed Miliband’s mind better than he does? Incidentally, Labour actually introduced the bedroom tax in the private sector several years ago when it introduced Local Housing Allowance. Housing benefit was restricted to the size of the family and if people wanted a bigger house they faced a restriction of benefit just like the current proposal for social housing.

If Reg really wants to answer some serious points can he justify why Rotherham needs 63 councillors? Surely 21 is more than enough. Think of the saving this would bring to the town.

Why did no one know, care or do anything about the child sex abuse going on in the area? Shaun Wright was in charge of children’s services which he failed dramatically —  hardly a glowing reference to become the PCC. Why does he not have the decency to resign? However I suppose when you have 63 councillors it becomes easier for them all to be absolved from blame on the premise they thought it was someone else who was responsible.

I do recall your days as our illustrious Mayor. No doubt you still revel in the Blair/Brown era in which Gordon managed a double first, being our most incompetent chancellor and Prime Minister.
