Thanks to knights in shining armour

Sir-- My car broke down on Tuesday, March 20, on Upper Wortley Road, very close to Thorpe Hesley Infant School at approx 5.15pm on the way home from work.

My front tire had come off the rim and I was extremely worried about how I was going to change the tyre as I suffer with a severe back problem and wasn't going to be able to do it myself.

After a few minutes a wonderful man on a pushbike very kindly stopped and proceeded to change the tyre for me in its entirety, even taking the new tyre off its cradle, putting the damaged one back on  and packing the tools used back into the car.

To get the tyre off the car another gentlemen who lived in the bungalow opposite where I was situated happily came out and helped get the tyre off as it had been on the car for a long time and was very difficult to get off.

After 20 minutes, the two gentlemen had finished with the car and told me to "have a safe journey home."

Unfortunately they wouldn't give me either of their names so that I could thank them but without these two knights in shining armour I really do not know what Ii would have done.

They have restored my faith in human kindness totally! It's lovely to know that there is still some wonderful people out there in the world.

Mrs Kery Uttley, Cannon Close, Rawmarsh.
