Thanks to all who helped
I AM a supporter of the Royal British Legion and this year they asked if I would hold a poppy picnic to raise funds for our veterans and our serving soldiers in Afghanistan.
We held three raffles and two poppy picnics on July 3 and 6, our new mayor John Foden attended in support of our forces and the community spirit shone through like a beacon.
We raised £200 so I would like to thank the Henley bingo ladies and all those who gave time and money for our serving lads and lasses and the work of the British Legion.
