Pictures brought back memories

It was a photo of a Golden Wedding photo of the Gray twins, now Ron and Brenda Soames and Dave and Beryl Colley for March 31.

Back in 1959 I started work at Byfords at Maltby where the twins also worked, because we all lived on the same street in Bramley they used to call for me and we walked to the bus stop together. It made me feel a lot safer, starting work at 15 and they were very good to me.

Another friend sent me clippings of photos a while back as they did an article of Byfords and I saw lots of old friends in that too and the twins were in that.

We came here in 1969 and have had a great life but it’s lovely to get news of old friends.

We lived in Sydney for 32 years and had two daughters, we all moved here to Boambee, near Coffs Harbour in 2004 as we retired and are now proud grandparents of Jay, six, and Mattie, four, who are such great fun to be around.
