Opposed to green belt building

MR Sylvester, I also agree with Cllr Vines’ statement and do not think it is right that councillors who attended the 2005 seminar on child sexual exploitation where the problems were clearly explained to them and did not follow this up are now allowed to b

 

However, on the facts regarding the Fleming Way project I would like to correct your statement. The people of Flanderwell were opposed to the fact that once again the council had decided to build on green belt land. Whatever they had decided to build, it would have been opposed.

We proposed an alternative solution which we felt would have helped these girls integrate within a wider community and would have allowed them to attend college with  child care put in place, rather than creating and making them a “project” which would have also saved the destruction of more green spaces which I’m afraid this council has always been and still is more than happy to do, eg Bassingthorpe, Greasborough.
