Northern life is cheap

Sir, So it is now about to become official that life is cheaper "oop North."

Our teachers will be paid less,but our students will still pay the same tuition fees for university.

Not only that but our nurses will be paid less, presumably because in the eyes of the Chancellor, our lives are not of the same value, because we don't vote Conservative and so we ought to earn less and serve us all right!

We should all jump on our bikes and move to Surrey. If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. I notice the words "vocation", "profession" and "care" seem to have become lost in all the Chancellor's rhetoric, or am I finally becoming cynical?
