Misconceptions about Islam
In last week’s Advertiser, Mr Richardson explained his reasons against the rebuilding of the Chapel Walk Mosque: that Islam instructs Muslims not to associate with non-Muslims and encourages ghettos.
Sadly, these are some of the misconceptions held by many due to the continuous bombardment of propaganda against Islam which we have witnessed for over a decade now.
I would like to invite Mr Richardson to visit the Chapel Walk Mosque and judge Islam based on the teachings of the Quran.
I am confident he will then agree Islamic values encourage a cohesive society through engagement and understanding.
