Lights burning in defiance of cutbacks
Sir-- Why, when local government are wanting us all to accept cutbacks and put up with reduced services due to lack of funds, does the local borough council feel it nessecery to leave streetlights burning fuel throughout the day?
On my street today the lamps have been burning brightly! I suppose it could be to highlight all the potholes!
