LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Landfill process is lethargic at best
IT’S been over five years since Grange Landfill Ltd blocked off public footpaths at Grange Park in Kimberworth. In the summer of 2021 our council eventually submitted an application to the government’s planning inspectorate to investigate this issue via a potential inquiry.
Another year has passed and we thought the process was progressing. However, now we learn that the process has stopped because the Inspectorate are waiting for missing documents to be provided by our council.
This whole process has been at best lethargic and at worst incompetent.
I think our community and Grange Park visitors deserve better from our council.
