Lack of buses to new library

Sir-- Why are their no regular buses to service the new library and council offices on Barbers Avenue at Rawmarsh.

I understand a request has been made to the bus company for services to be re-routed - but why wasn't this done before the building opened?

Of course that would have been a sensible idea--not something Rotherham Council are famous for!

The elderly or infirm have quite a walk either from Rawmarsh Hill or Green Lane. A bus does travel along Barbers Avenue, but they are few and far between and what about people who live at the Manor Farm end of Rawmarsh? Not everybody has a car!

The new library is bright and airy but the selection of books seems much less than at the old library in Parkgate, and of course there are less staff -- books are taken in and out using a self service system.
