GALLERY: Rudston pupils prove good sports

The final bell tolled for Rotherham's Rudston School - but not before pupils had shown off their sports day skills.

Herringthorpe Stadium hosted the summer festival of sport, which was one of the private school's final events before closing.

Rudston shut at the end of term after pupil numbers fell to the level where neither the head not trustees felt it could be saved.

But parents were clapping and cheering as their son's and daughters battled it out at track and field sports.
