Flash Lane needs a proper crossing

Sir - Regarding the so-called crossing on Flash Lane, I agree with all the other residents complaints.

Ben Bailey gave the council £10,000 specificlly for a crossing ,all that has been done is a lowered kerb and bobbled flag stones on either side of the road opposite the children's play ground, no way does it look like a crossing.

My brother has recently paid the council £500 to have a dropped kerb installed for his drive, even if you times that by 2, add another £1,000 (maximum) for the bobbly flag stones, the cost cannot possibly be £10,000.

What, I would like to ask, has happened to the remaining £8,000. I suggest it could pay for a proper crossing so residents and children can cross safely, which is what most residents wanted in the first place.

John Brameld, Flash Lane, Bramley.
