Diana Wallis resignation an abuse of democratic process
Sir--It's no great surprise to me that Diana Wallis, Lib Dem MEP for Yorkshire & the Humber. has resigned, allowing her husband Stewart Arnold to take over because he was number two on their 2009 election candidate list.
I was on a public hustings with her in Rotherham in 2009. When the chair asked for the first question, the first hand up was Stewart who fed Diana a question about the killing of seals in the Arctic.

That was a misuse of the democratic process and this is too.
This resignation has clearly been influenced by knowing who her successor would be.
Martin Hemingway, Yorkshire & Humber Green Party (Lead Green Party European candidate in 2009).
