Devolve power to the English

Sir, The headline in Wednesday's Telegraph read: “Cameron must hand power to the people before it’s too late.”

"The Coalition’s plan to shift decision making from state to citizen is being frustrated by Whitehall, write Douglas Carswell and Daniel Hannan."

And most of this applies to where exactly? Ah yes, England.

The place that none in power dare name. I'm all for devolving power. Right down to the individual "citizen".

However what I really want is for English people to have a say on how England is run.

I want English MPs who will demand fair funding and fair representation for their English constituents working in a parliament that works in the interests of England.

I want our English parliament back. Then let’s consult the people of England on how we want to devolve power in England.

This should have nothing to do with Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish MPs. Nothing to do with MEPs either. It should have nothing to do with UK MPs who consistently put the interests of the UK above the interests of their English constituents either. Home rule for England.
