Women in serious condition after crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a collision that has left a woman with serious injuries.

The incident happened in Edlington this morning (Wednesday, August 27).

South Yorkshire Police said a black Renault Clio was travelling along Roberts Road, Edlington when it left the road and collided with temporary fencing close to Stubbins Hill.

A 60-year-old woman was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary where she was in a serious condition this afternoon.

The spokeswoman added officers want to ascertain the exact circumstances of the collision and were appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward by calling police on 101 quoting incident number 170 of August 27 2014.
