Witnesses to town centre knife attack sought

A MAN is recovering from stabbing injuries after a knife attack in Rotherham town centre.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident at around 2.30pm on December 9 as a 37-year-old man was walking on Howard Street with his wife.

A group of male teenagers allegedly assaulted the man following a verbal altercation. He was taken to hospital to be treated for stab injuries and is now recovering at home.

Two 19-year-old men and a 20-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of wounding and have been bailed pending further enquiries.
