Wath's market past set to be revealed at meeting

Seven hundred years of history will be on the agenda at a history society’s latest meeting on Thursday.

Markets and Businesses in Wath Through the Centuries is the title of an illustrated talk to be given to Wath Community History Group at St Joseph’s Hall, Carr Road, at 7pm.

Wath was granted a market charter in 1312 and the talk will look at the commercial development of the town over the centuries.

Entry is £5 for four meetings or £1.50 per meeting.
