Proceeds from the concert will help to cover the costs of both bands competing in the National Brass Band Championships earlier this month.

The concert will also give younger players a chance to listen to and play with two high-quality local brass bands.

Both Maltby and Thurcroft competed in the finals of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain in Harrogate after qualifying in first and second place in the Yorkshire Heats.

Two senior bands from Maltby and Thurcroft and their respective training bands  are taking part in tomorrow's concert, alongside the Rotherham Schools Junior Brass Band.

Tickets priced £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for concessions are available from Rotherham Music Service on 01709 545235 or on the door.
