Yellow's the colour of money for Rotherham Hospice

ROTHERHAM Hospice is urging supporters to add a dash of colour to their fund-raising with the return of its Go Yellow campaign.

It ties in with the sunflower image — a well-known symbol of the hospice movement — and will run throughout the summer months.

The hospice itself will turn yellow for a week from June 10 with staff and patients taking part in various colour-themed activities.

Hospice fund-raiser Anna Gott said: “Go Yellow is a fun and easy campaign for everyone to get involved with.

“Whether you are a community group, school, business or an individual anyone can get involved. Join in and have some yellow fun this summer.

“You can do anything from having a yellow-themed cake stall to organising a ‘wear yellow’ day at work, college or school.”

Last year, the day patients made yellow flowers to sell on reception.

Anna added: “It’s a fantastic way to get the people of Rotherham fund-raising for the hospice.

“We really do want as many people as possible to take part in the campaign, anyone at any age can be involved with this simple idea.”
