Woman’s garden waste fine

A ROTHERHAM woman is counting the cost of ignoring advice and warnings on how to deal with her household waste.

Despite being repeatedly advised to dispose of the waste appropriately, Skye Melissa Gordon continued to let the mound of black bags, food and other rubbish grow and fester in her garden in Fox Street, Kimberworth.

Gordon failed to appear at Rotherham Magistrates Court when summonsed and was fined £600 after being found guilty in her absence of failing to clear domestic waste and household items from her garden.

She was also ordered to pay £216 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
