Woman seriously hurt in Rotherham accident

A 30-YEAR-OLD woman is fighting for her life in hospital after colliding with a car New Wortley Road, near Rotherham town centre.

The woman was walking near the Centenary Way Roundabout at around 5.10pm yesterday when she collided with the black Vauxhall Meriva.

She was taken to hospital, where her injuries have been described as life-threatening.

It is thought that the 55-year-old woman driving the Meriva was unhurt.

Police urge witnesses to the collision to call non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 842 of December 11, 2013.
