Woman (21) arrested after man stabbed in Mexborough

Ambulance staff called police after a 22-year-old man was treated at a property in Goldthorpe.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police were called at around noon on Sunday (February 25) and a 21-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of wounding. She remains in police custody. 

"The man was taken to hospital where his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. 

"A police investigation is ongoing into the incident."
