Witness appeal after Bolton crash

An elderly pensioner suffered two broken arms when her electric scooter was in collision with a car in Bolton on Dearne.

The 83-year-old woman was detained in Barnsley District General Hospital after the incident at 6pm on Monday.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident in Furlong Road near the junction with Kennedy Drive when a silver Vauxhall Corsa travelling towards Goldthorpe collided with the scooter.

The 20-year-old car driver was unhurt.
