Wartime bomb found in Wath

BOMB disposal experts had to be called in after workmen dug up a wartime relic.

The 18-inch long brass-coloured shell, described as looking like an oversized bullet, was found on a site in Bramley Road, Wath, on Saturday.

Residents were advised to stay indoors until bomb disposal officers establised there was no danger. The device was taken away for disposal.
