VIDEO: Dearne adventure centre opens after £7m investment

The Dearne Centre is being run by education firm Kingswood, who took over the failed Earth Centre green attraction last year.

Contractors Willmott Dixon were appointed to give the ex-pit site a new lease of life, including new accommodation blocks for 300.

Centre manager Brian Kitson said: “I think this is probably the best centre of its type in the UK and it’s a privilege for me to work on this project.”
