MULTI-MILLION pound flood repairs at one of Rotherham’s best-loved parks are halfway there—and still on budget.
The recent big freeze caused a three-week delay, but Rotherham Borough Council said this week that the major rehabilitation works at Ulley Country Park should be completed by May.
The £4.9 million project follows the devastating downpours in June 2007, when the M1 was closed and nearby villages were evacuated as the Victorian dam wall was pushed to the brink.

Hide AdThe weather will have a part to play in the park’s fate yet again this year, because the amount of summer rainfall will determine when it reopens to the public, once the water has risen back to a safe level.
