Ulley Country Park searched by police probing attack

SPECIALIST police officers have carried out a full search of Ulley Reservoir as part of the hunt to find who attacked a man found unconscious at the site.

Det Insp Mark Monteiro said officers were “making progress” with the investigation into the attack on Adrian Kozak, who was found at the site by a dog walker last Monday.

Mr Kozak (37), a Polish national who has connections to the Masbrough and Ferham Park areas, remained in a serious but stable condition in hospital this week, Det Insp Monteiro said.

He added: “We are making progress in that we have one potential witness who we are speaking to.

“We have now also carried out a search of the lake itself.

“It’s slow progress for the investigation and slow progress for the victim but we remain keen to speak to anyone who was at Ulley on Sunday, October 15, or Monday, October 16, or who knows how Mr Kozak got there.”

Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 209 of October 16.
