Two garages targeted by arsonists last night

ARSONISTS started fires in two garages within 20 minutes of each other.

Firefighters were called to the first incident on Cross Gate, Mexborough at 9.25pm, to find a small amount of rubbish had been set on fire inside a garage.

Crews from Dearne and Edlington station were at the scene for 30 minutes.

A detached garage was then set on fire on South Street, Kimberworth, at 9.45pm.

Two crews from Rotherham and one from Elm Lane attended the scene.

No-one was injured and crews left at 10.20pm.
