Triple death crash survivor 'critical'

THE parents of a 16-year-old girl critically injured in a crash which cost the lives of three other teenagers have appealed for witnesses to help police probing the tragedy.

Chloe Newby was in the back of a Vauxhall Corsa which collided head-on with a VW Golf on Adwick Road, Mexborough, on December 27.

In a statement released by police on behalf of the family, her parents said Chloe was still in Doncaster Royal Infirmary, where her condition is described as stable, but critical.

“She has had previous involvement with Mexborough Youth Club where she is well known and liked.

“We would like to thank all staff at Doncaster Royal Infirmary who have been brilliant in their care of Chloe and professional throughout.
