Topless man shouted racist abuse at pedestrian

POLICE are asking the public to help identify a shirtless man who is accused of shouting racist abuse at a pedestrian over two months ago.

The complainant, a 22-year-old man, was walking along Doncaster Road in Eastwood at around 7.55pm on Thursday May, 25, when the incident happened.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said another man, who was crossing the road at the time, shouted racist abuse at him.

The offender was described as white, around 25 years old, of medium build, with short brown hair and about 5ft 9ins tall.

He was wearing grey shorts and no top.

The spokeswoman added: “While we appreciate this incident happened a while ago, officers investigating are asking people who were in the area at that time whether they remember seeing anyone acting in that manner or matching that description.”
