Thurnscoe woman named as death crash victim
A WOMAN who died in a crash near York while riding pillion on a motorbike has been named as 39-year-old Michelle Suzanne Preston from Thurnscoe.
Ms Preston, of Derry Grove, died on Sunday, June 22, after the bike she was travelling on came off the road on the A1237 at Knapton at 11.15am.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The motorcycle’s rider, a man who is also from the Rotherham area, received “non life-threatening” injuries.
An inquest was opened and adjourned on June 25.
