Three suspected arson attacks in Dearne Valley

FIREFIGHTERS were called to the scene of three suspected arson attacks in the same night.

Staff from Dearne station attended Hills Close in Mexborough at around 7pm last Wednesday, where grass and rubbish were alight.

The crew left the scene at around 7.30pm.

A crew from Cudworth fire station attended Ferryboat Lane, Old Denaby, at 7.45pm and found a wheelie bin alight. 

They left the scene at around 8.30pm.

Three appliances attended Lockesley Avenue, Conisbrough, at around 8.45pm the same night

Staff from Rotherham, Edlington and Deane found a detached garage alight, with several gas cylinders inside.

They spent two hours putting out the blaze and damping down the building.
