Three arrested in child sex abuse probe

THREE men have been arrested as part of an investigation into historic allegations of child sexual exploitation in Sheffield and Rotherham.

The men, aged 21, 23 and 28-years-old, were arrested on this afternoon on suspicion of committing a number of sexual offences against underage girls between 2005 and 2009 in Sheffield and Rotherham.

The 28-year-old was arrested following a warrant at a property in the Hackenthorpe area of Sheffield.

The 21-year-old was arrested in Leeds and the 23-year-old man was arrested in the Arbourthorne area of Sheffield.

The men are currently in police custody and will be questioned by detectives.
