Three appliances tackle Canklow industrial blaze

FIREFIGHTERS put out a blaze at an industrial unit overnight.

Three crews from Rotherham, Parkway and Elm Lane stations attended the premises on Fullerton Road, Canklow, at 7.10pm yesterday.

The fire in an extraction is thought to have started accidentally. Crews left the scene around 45 minutes after arriving.

One crew from Tankersley station put out a refuse fire in Wombwell last night.

Staff attended Dovecliffe Road at 9.45pm, leaving around 35 minutes later. The blaze is thought to have been set deliberately.
