Thieves drive JCB into petrol station shop and steal cash machine

THIEVES used a JCB to ram-raid a petrol station shop and steal its cash machine in the early hours of this morning (Friday).

The JCB was driven into a wall containing a cash machine at the Co-op petrol station, Worksop Road, Aston, at around 2.50am.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “The cash machine was pulled from the wall and reportedly loaded onto what is believed to have been a white Transit van that fled the scene.

“Enquiries are currently ongoing and anyone with information is asked to report it via 101 quoting incident number 80 of May 11.
