A YOUTH theatre group is searching for two young men to take on leading roles in its summer production.

Steps Productions, which launched fourteen-months ago, is on the hunt for two males, aged nine to 19, to take part in Boogie Nights which is set to hit the Civic Theatre stage in June.

The 70s musical tells the story of the life of Roddy O Neil and his dream to become a rock star featuring well-known hits including I Will Survive, Blame it on the Boogie and Don't Go Breaking My Heart.

Rehearsals are now underway but the production team is still looking to offer two leading roles to males interested in performing.

Director Ash White said: "Rehearsals have got off to a fantastic start and the commitment and effort by all involved is first class.

“I would like to thank everyone who has given us support and to our members and their parents/guardians for their time and efforts.

“We are currently searching for two leading males and whoever plays the role will join an enthusiastic production team and a cast of approximately 40 talented youngsters.

"This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a live band, a great production team and to be in an environment that is positive, pleasant, fun and very friendly."
