The Sherlocks to support Kings of Leon

FORMER Rotherham schoolboys The Sherlocks are teaming up with one of the biggest bands around.

The ex-Wath Comprehensive and St Pius School students announced on Wednesday that they will be supporting international hit-makers Kings of Leon on two shows in June.

They will perform at Manchester Arena on June 9 and Sheffield Arena the following night.

The news is yet another boost for the Bolton on Dearne band - pictured performing at Wath Comprehensive - after their signed a record deal last December and announced a nine-date UK tour next month.

Drummer Brandon Crook called this week’s announcement “Massive!” while bandmate Josh Davidson - who tweeted the above photo of the band outside Sheffield Arena - said he was “Absolutely buzzing to be supporting Kings of Leon”.
