The Grand C4 Picasso

A SUITABLY abstract successor to the super-successful Citroen C4 Picasso has been unveiled ahead of its official launch.

The Grand C4 Picasso weighs in 110kg lighter than its predecessor despite boasting the largest glass area in the MPV segment at 5.7 square metres, thanks in part to a panoramic windscreen, and now boasts seven-seat accommodation.

Citroen have also made their new addition their most eco-friendly MPV to date, with a range of HDi diesel engines emitting as little as 98g/km CO2 emissions and claiming up to 74mpg fuel economy.

On-board technology includes a seven-inch touchscreen entertainment system working in tandem with an additional 12-inch HD screen providing trip information and details of other driver aids.

Radar-guided cruise control, warning systems that alert the driver to vehicles or obstacles in their blind spots and a potential collisions ahead and a robotised parking function that can measure a space and steer the Grand C4 Picasso into place will also be made available.

Prices have yet to be announced for the Citroen MPV but expect it to cost from around £19,000 when it arrives on UK shores early next year.
